Die Villa Incanto liegt in der Stadt Starigrad, nur 400 Meter vom Meer entfernt, und bietet einen herrlichen Panoramablick auf die Adria und das Velebit-Gebirge. Es ist ein einzigartiger Ort, der lange Sandstrände mit wunderschönen Bergketten verbindet.
Starigrad wurde erstmals in der römischen Zeit erwähnt und wurde auf den Fundamenten der antiken Stadt Argyruntum errichtet. Es bietet ein reiches historisches Erbe, von der Festung Paklarić und dem Večka-Turm aus der Zeit des Einfalls der Türken über die frühkroatische Kirche St. Peter bis hin zu Gedenkstätten, Steinmonumenten und der antiken Stätte Argiruntum.
In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich fünf der insgesamt acht kroatischen Nationalparks: Paklenica, nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt, Kornati, Krka, die Plitvicer Seen und der nördliche Velebit sowie drei Naturparks: Velebit, Telaščica und der Vransko-See.
Besonders bemerkenswert im Hinterland von Starigrad ist das prächtige Karstphänomen mit zahlreichen Höhlen, dem Nationalpark Paklenica. Der schönste Teil des Velebit-Gebirgsmassivs, Velika und Mala Paklenica, wurde von der UNESCO in die Weltnaturerbe-Reservate aufgenommen.
Der Nationalpark Paklenica ist das bekannteste Bergsteigerzentrum in Kroatien und reich an vielfältiger Flora und Fauna, wobei der Gänsegeier besonders hervorsticht.
Abgesehen von Autobahnen ist Starigrad über den Flughafen Zadar (45 km), Eisenbahnen und Seewege mit dem Rest der Welt verbunden.

Villa Incanto is situated in the town of Starigrad, just 400 meters from the sea, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea and the Velebit Mountains. It's a unique location that combines long sandy beaches with beautiful mountain ranges.
Starigrad was first mentioned in Roman times and was built on the foundations of the ancient city of Argyruntum. It boasts a rich historical heritage, from the Paklarić fortress and Večka tower from the time of the Turkish invasion, the early Croatian church of St. Peter, to the memorial sites, stone monuments, and the ancient site of Argiruntum.
In the immediate vicinity, there are five out of a total of eight Croatian national parks: Paklenica, just a few hundred meters away, Kornati, Krka, Plitvice Lakes, and Northern Velebit, as well as three nature parks: Velebit, Telaščica, and Vransko Lake.
Particularly noteworthy in the hinterland of Starigrad is the magnificent karst phenomenon with numerous caves, the Paklenica National Park. The most beautiful part of the Velebit mountain massif, Velika and Mala Paklenica, has been included by UNESCO in the world biosphere reserves.
Paklenica National Park is the most famous mountaineering center in Croatia, rich in diverse flora and fauna, among which the Griffon vulture stands out.
Apart from highways, Starigrad is connected to the rest of the world through Zadar Airport (45km), railways, and sea routes.
